Just when visitors to Historic Main Street in St. Charles began mourning this year’s passing of Music on Main last month, they have a new outdoor party to attend—and this one includes food.

Just east of Historic Main Street in Frontier Park, along the Missouri River, the St. Charles Parks Department will host its first Food Truck Event from 5 to 8pm on Thu., Oct. 4.

Patrons can enjoy live entertainment as they indulge in a variety of food options that will be offered by participating food trucks including:

  • Latin-inspired fare from Cha Cha Chow
  • Mexican fare from El Gran Taco and Hot Aztec
  • Greek and Mediterranean from Go Gyro Go
  • Soups and grilled cheese from Sarah’s Meltdown
  • Gourmet hotdogs from Papa Tom's Fancy Franks
  • Sweet treats from Sarah's Cake Shop and The Sweet Divine
  • Burgers, hotdogs and funnel cakes from Speedway Eatery
  • Italian fare from Zia's “On The Hill”

Trailhead Brewing Company will offer many of their specialty ales and other drinks. Little Hills Winery will also sell drinks.

The St. Charles Parks & Recreation Department is organizing the event which the city hopes to expand to a regular attraction similar to the monthly Food Truck Fridays at Tower Grove Park.

Patrons can also keep the beat while they eat with performances by musicians Clayton Jones and Eric Prewitt, from Rhythm Music and Performing Arts Studio.

Parks Department officials encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs and blankets for the event. Many of the food trucks are cash only so be sure to bring cash.

Regulations from cities in St. Charles County have kept food trucks away from the west side of the Missouri River until now. Because this event will take place in the park, only temporary licensure from the St. Charles County Health Department and proof of insurance will be required.
