Excitement has been building locally for St. Louis chef/restaurateur Gerard Craft's Pastaria since he first announced the concept last June and then, in early January, the location in Clayton's Centene Plaza.

It's now reached a national level, as the Eater has listed the in-the-works restaurant as one of its 25 most anticipated restaurant openings of 2012. The list of restaurants spans the entire United States, and Craft tweeted earlier today via his Twitter handle, @gerardfcraft, that he's "honored to be named with such amazing people."

Pastaria is scheduled to open late summer, with Craft Restaurants Ltd. being the first restaurant tenant of the 29,000-square-feet retail space at 7734 Forsyth Boulevard.
