The Block Restaurant Bar and Butcher Shop is all set to host its first-ever beer dinner on Mon., July 30, featuring local craft brews by The Civil Life, Perennial Artisan Ales and Urban Chestnut Brewing Co.

The dinner, which will begin at 6pm, will coincide with St. Louis Craft Beer Week. Chefs and co-owners Marc Del Pietro and Brian Doherty will be serving an inspired five-course meal to accompany each beer. Guests will be greeted with their first beer as they walk in the door.

Following the reception, guests will make their way to the dining area to begin the meal. Each course will be paired with a select beer from one of the three local breweries. During each of the courses, guests will have a chance to learn more about each brew as brew masters talk about the qualities of the beer. The breweries will each be showcasing two beers, with one being a new release within the last month.

Seating is limited. The dinner costs $65, all inclusive. To reserve a spot, call 314.918.7900. A credit card is required for reservations.
