A staple on the St. Louis dining scene, Sidney Street Café always gives patrons plenty of reasons to return time and again. Next week, the Benton Park powerhouse has something special in store for food and beer lovers: a not-to-be-missed New Belgium Beer Dinner with brew master Peter Bouckaert as the guest of honor.

The event takes place on Tue., June 26, with a reception featuring the lightly-hopped Shift Pale Lager starting things off at 6:30pm and a five-course dinner following at 7. Tickets are $100 per person, and space is limited. For reservations, call 314.771.5777.

The menu:

First Course: King salmon crudo, garbanzos, pickled rhubarb, puffed rice, cream cheese Gribiche paired with Lips of Faith Tart Lychee

Second Course: Corned sweetbread hash, strawberry jam, sourdough griddle cake and poached egg paired with Fat Tire

Third Course: Pan-roasted redfish, ham-hock and ginger dumplings, broccoli, preserved lemon and ham-hock broth paired with Somersault Ale

Fourth Course: Slow-roasted Missouri Lamb Shoulder, ragout of rib and neck, loin, beef risotto, cheese curds and jus paired with Lips of Faith La Folie

Fifth Course: “Snicker Bar” chocolate mousse, honey nougat, roasted peanuts, dulche de leche, garnache, dry caramel and chocolate Bourbon sorbet paired with 1554 Enlightened Black Ale
