Companion is now selling a tasty new accompaniment to its artisan baked bread: an all-natural Garlic Parmesan Dipping Oil.

Introduced by the bakery’s “bread guy,” Josh Allen, the oil features a mix of olive and grape-seed oils blended with Champagne vinegar, capers, garlic and Parmesan. Sold in an 8.45-ounce bottle, the oil works well as a marinade, ingredient or drizzled enhancement to grilled meats or vegetables. (Or, try it in Companion's panzanella recipe at left.)

“I love tinkering in the kitchen and coming up with new product ideas,” Allen says. “Bread is so versatile, and this dipping oil gives bread lovers a new way to enjoy and share their favorite loaf.”

Made in California, the small-batch Garlic Parmesan Dipping Oil is available for $7.99 at Companion’s Clayton and Ladue Cafes, its south city Early Bird Outlet, the Tower Grove Farmers Market and area Straub’s grocery stores.
