If you missed Mount Pleasant Estates’ first gourmet culinary class late last year, the winery’s giving you a second chance to sharpen your culinary skills under the instruction of executive chef Dana Liljequist.
Liljequist is hosting the Augusta winery’s second gourmet cooking class - Wine, Dine and Refine the Entrée – on Sat., Aug. 4, at 2pm.
On the menu:
Harvest Salad: Cucumber, red onions, Feta and roasted red peppers accompany spring mix greens with a toasted garlic crouton and balsamic dijon vinaigrette
Rye Stuffed Pork Loin: Slow cooked and stuffed with rye bread, candied pecans and cranberries, served with apple chutney
Tuscan Risotto: Mushrooms, artichokes, prosciutto and Parmesan cheese
Admission is $70 per person, and the price includes one glass of wine and a souvenir Mount Pleasant wine glass. The class is limited to 20 people, so be sure to make reservations early. All reservations require two weeks of advance notice.
