Mount Pleasant Estates will be showcasing its best in the barrel and bottle during a special tasting event, Uncorked … From The Barrel to the Bottle, on Sat., July 14, from 2 to 4pm.

Visit the historic cellars to sample the very same young wines out of French oak barrels that Mount Pleasant’s wine-making team tastes regularly before they are ready to bottle.

Barrel tastings will include two generous samples of Mount Pleasant’s barrel-aged red wines served in high-quality Riedel stemware as well as one glass of each of the finished products. A selection of gourmet hors d’oeuvres will be available to enhance the tasting experience.

Jake’s Leg will also perform live on the patio beginning at 2pm.

Tastings are limited to 20 people, with wines based on availability. The cost is $25 per person or $20 per person for Vintner’s Circle Members. For reservations, call 636.482.WINE or 800.467.WINE. Walk-ins are welcome, too.
