Even though it’s still months away from opening, St. Louis chef/restaurateur Gerard Craft’s Pastaria continues to capture national attention.
Back in March, the Eater listed the coming-soon Clayton restaurant as one of its 25 most anticipated restaurant openings of 2012. Now, another food-media heavyweight, Food & Wine, has mentioned Pastaria, listing it in the front-of-book Where To Go Next section of the July issue (as first spotted by St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Evan Benn).
An article titled What’s New on Pizza Planet highlights restaurants for readers to put on their radars in several regions of the United States. For the Midwest, editors list Pastaria with Bar Toma in Chicago and Mani Osteria in Ann Arbor, Mich. They also note that Craft will be selling his pizza flour.
Pastaria is scheduled to open late summer, with Craft Restaurants Ltd. being the first restaurant tenant of the 29,000-square-feet retail space at 7700 Forsyth Boulevard.
