Don’t miss this tremendous opportunity to wine and dine with celebrity chef Charles Mattocks, who’s appeared on CNN, Dr. Oz, The Today Show and Anderson Cooper.

Presented by Vinos de la Cruz Wines, the evening will begin with a wine tasting and photo reception with Mattocks at 6pm, and a four-course dinner will follow at 7pm.

Mattocks, aka The Poor Chef, has made a name for himself as the best-selling author of Eat Cheap but Eat Well. His meals are healthy, cost-effective (his famous line: “What can you cook for $7?”) and delicious.

Mattocks is currently promoting a new movement, The Diabetic You, for which he’s producing an eponymously named film, radio show, newsletter and wellness seminar. According to his bio, his new passion and joy has been diabetes, as someone who was recently diagnosed in November.

As such, Vinos de la Cruz Wines, the sugarless, low-calorie healthy wine company, proved a natural fit in partnering to put on this special dinenr at Cardwell’s. The winery, a family company of about 60 hectares of vineyards, is the only one of it’s kind, situated 100 kilometers from Montevideo, capital of Uruguay.
