Sandwich lovers in St. Louis flock to Fozzie’s Sandwich Emporium for all kinds of reasons.
For our contributing photographer Laura Ann Miller, it’s the black-bean burger that brings her back time and again, and it was a shoo-in when we approached her to participate to our monthly contributor-pick Dish section.
Turns out; the editors of Food & Wine have also taken to Fozzie’s, and in giving it a nod in the July issue, they reached out for and featured Miller’s photo. The pic landed on p. 170 in the magazine’s list of 20 Sandwich Chefs to Know and illustrated the editor's inclusion (as first spotted locally by St. Louis Magazine's George Mahe) of Fozzie's chef Mark Lucas for his use of “homegrown vegetables for recipes like the black-bean burger with roasted peppers.”
