On Wed., Sept. 5, Debra Grace, the chef/owner of Grace Manor in Edwardsville, announced in an enewsletter to customers that she had closed the restaurant, effective that day.

Grace thanked customers for their loyalty and said, “It's been a pleasure getting to know you, and I'm grateful to all of you for making it possible, to have the experience I've had in owning my own restaurant.”

Located in a tiny, brick house built in the 1850s, Grace Manor prided itself on serving as much locally-produced food as possible. As such, Grace made a plea with customers to continue supporting the local economy.
