This past weekend, the 4th annual FestivAle served up hope one pint at a time, as the event benefited the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Held at Downtown's new event space, Factory STL, 11 St. Louis-region microbreweries came out to support the foundation by serving up samples and good fun. Participating breweries included: 4 Hands Brewing Co., Augusta Brewing Company, Charleville Vineyand Winery & Microbrewery, Crown Valley Brewing & Distilling Co., Ferguson Brewing Company, Granite City Food & Brewery, Kirkwood Station Brewing Company, O'Fallon Brewery, Perennial Artisan Ales, Schlafly, and Urban Chestnut Brewing Company. Guests also dining on appetizers courtesy of The Dubliner.
A VIP portion kicked off the event with a beer class taught by Florian Kuplent, the brew master at Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, and moderated by Evan Benn, features editor at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and author of the Hip Hops blog and the new book Brew in the Lou. A silent auction also took place to help raise money for the foundation.
