To demonstrate the latest in food-industry trends, products and tips, Ford Hotel Supply will be hosting an open house – Fall Into Ford – on Mon., Oct. 29, and Tue., Oct. 30.

The century-old provider of food service and equipment needs for restaurants, bars, schools, hotels and other St. Louis-area entities also will be hosting two contests, including:

1) Submit Your Drink Contest. Ford Hotel Supply is asking local bartenders to represent their work establishment and show off their skills in a drink recipe contest. Finalists will be judged at a live show down at Ford on Mon., Oct. 29. Full details and info on how to enter can be found here.

2) Culinary Contest – Cook off for finalists. This contest consists of two separate themed events: Chicken is the themed ingredient for Mon., Oct. 29, and Comfort Food for a Cool Fall Evening is the theme on Tue., Oct. 30. There will be two teams each day, eight ingredients (salt, pepper, water are free ingredients) and one hour to complete dish. Full details can be found here.
