With all that his brewery, 4 Hands Brewing Company, has going on this year, Kevin Lemp has been a seriously busy man. The south Downtown beer maker has just released PiPa, an American Pale Ale to celebrate Pi Pizzeria’s newest location in the Mercantile Exchange building, and he’s currently working with Mike Emerson, owner of Pappy’s Smokehouse, to create Smoked Pigasus, a rye porter brewed with maple syrup. Emerson himself will be smoking the malt used in the beer, which is set to be released this September.

In addition, 4 Hands will be partnering with David Bailey, owner of Bailey’s Chocolate Bar, The Bridge, Bailey’s Range and Rooster, to create their fall seasonal, Morning Glory. The brew will incorporate vanilla beans, nutmeg, all spice, whiskey-infused pecan wood chips, and fresh sweet potatoes that will be roasted the day of production with the assistance of Bailey’s commissary.
