Centene Plaza representatives announced today that Craft Restaurants Ltd. is the first restaurant tenant of the 29,000-square-feet retail space at 7700 Forsyth Boulevard in Clayton.

Chef Gerard Craft and his team will bring Niche and his newest concept, Pastaria by Niche, to the Plaza. Niche will remain open for business at its current location, 1831 Sidney Street in Benton Park, until the move, scheduled for late spring 2012. Pastaria by Niche is scheduled to open late summer 2012.

"The move to Clayton is an amazing opportunity for Niche and Craft Restaurants," Craft says. "Centene Plaza allows us to be centrally located and more accessible to our customers in both location and purpose. We have the ability to design and build a space that is completely customized and reflective of my personality, the menus we offer, and the guests we serve."

Michael Neidorff, chairman and CEO of Centene Corporation, says, "We are pleased that Centene Plaza has attracted the caliber of restaurants for which chef Craft and his team have become known. It is our expectation that Centene Plaza becomes the premiere dining and shopping destination in St. Louis."

Craft initially announced his plans for Pastaria by Niche on June 30 last year, but he did not reveal the location at the time.
