The Missouri Botanical Garden is giving attendees to the annual Best of Missouri Market a chance to shop the wares a day early this year through its First Look Friday.

This year’s 21st annual event will take place from 9am to 5pm on Sat., Oct. 6, and Sun., Oct. 7, with the garden’s day-early sneak preview event set for Fri., Oct. 5, from 6 to 9pm.

First Look Friday will feature more than 120 top Missouri food producers, artisans and entertainment for the entire family. The Cumberland Gap Band will perform. Valet parking will also be available. Whether its handcrafted furniture, blown glass, natural skincare products or gooey butter cake, the Best of Missouri Market showcases one-of-a-kind items.

Admission to First Look Friday is $12 for adults, $10 for visitors ages 65 and older and $5 for children ages 3 to 12, with free admission for ages 2 and under. Garden members are $5 and members’ children ages 12 and under are free. Admission prices cover both general garden and market admission and a copy of the Best of Missouri Souvenir Directory.

Join the Garden or renew your membership during the Best of Missouri Market and receive free admission for two adults and all children for every day of the festival. Memberships begin at $65 ($60 for seniors) and offer 12 months of free general admission for two adults and all children, plus exclusive invitations and discounts. Free parking is available on site or on the lots one block east of the garden at Vandeventer and Shaw, with continuous free shuttles to the garden.
