If you’re interested to taste the results of the talent, ingenuity and creativity behind the growing local craft distilling scene, don’t miss The St. Louis Classic Cocktail Party, which is organized by Spirits of St. Louis, distilled and bottled by Square One Brewery & Distillery.

On Sat., Sept. 8, from 6 to 9pm, the dapper and the darling will head to the St. Louis Classic Cocktail Party in Lafayette Square Park. Featured spirits and small-batch distillers will include Crown Valley Brewing & Distilling, Pinckney Bend Distillery, Square One’s Spirits of St. Louis, The Big O, Cardinal Sin Vodka, Mastermind Vodka and StilL 630. Partygoers will experience unique combinations that will serve to intensify their fascination with this burgeoning movement.

After tasting and enjoying great cocktails, a hearty dinner is the ticket to a perfect evening. Luckily, the Square One Brewery and Distillery – the cocktail party’s organizer – is right around the corner and ready to greet hungry revelers.

An entrée that is worthy of an evening of this ilk is the Pork Rib Eye. Thick cut and grilled to a perfect medium, this juice cut of pork is accompanied by braised greens, crowder peas (which are very much like black-eyed peas) and whole-grain mustard for a little tangy zip. Let’s not forget that Square One is also a brewery. The menu-suggested pairing of the Pork Rib Eye with the Park Avenue Pale Ale is a perfect way to finish off the outing.
