This weekend, one of our city’s most beautiful treasures invites guests to a fabulous wine tasting among the flowers, and one of the area’s most beautiful patios beckons those same guests for nosh and a nightcap.
On Sat., May 5, Missouri Botanical Garden is hosting Grapes and the Garden, at which guests can taste a vast selection of wines while they partake in delicious hors d’oeuvres. Great live music and a festival program will keep everyone entertained.
The party ends at 7pm. What to do afterward? Skip up to Sasha’s on Shaw, and secure a table on the patio, a secluded oasis surrounded by dreamy foliage.
As you and your party chat, order the Charcuterie and World Tour Cheese Plates and share the meaty, cheesy love. The charcuterie plate delivers global flavors with Romano Salame, Petit Saucisson with herbs de provence and chorizo. To build individual bites, The Charcuterie Plate offers crostini, mustard-mayonnaise and cornichons.
The World Tour Cheese plate offers you creamy, delectable goodness. The plate includes Fromager d’Affinois, Drunken Goat, Cotswold, Gjetost with apples, Petit Basque and Mobier. Wonderful texture and flavors are achieved with the addition of cranberries, toasted walnuts, dried apricots, and crostini.
Of course, Sasha’s offers plenty of wonderful wine as well - the perfect night cap.
