I'm not one for formal resolutions, but inevitably when the New Year comes along, I usually do seize the spirit of the season and set out to improve some (very doable) aspect of my life.
This year's goal is to get organized . . . at least in the kitchen. Whether you live in a studio apartment, an older home or a sprawling new mansion, chances are you're like me in some aspect of your cooking life. Your piles of baking dishes have nowhere to rest, stacking your silverware in the drawer leads to an avalanche of cutlery, and so many of your oft use cooking devices are stored much to far from your prep areas.
As the most-used room in every home, any dissatisfaction we have with our kitchen is a daily struggle. In part this first of a three-part series on storage solutions for the kitchen, we suggest some clever, and in some cases, inexpensive, resolutions for your organizational issues.
