When nothing but Italian eats will do, Maggiano's Little Italy never disappoints. The Richmond Heights restaurant serves up a respectable assortment of classic and specialty pastas, seafood dishes, veal and pork entrees, capped off by irresistible desserts. Made-from-scratch foods such as pastas, sauces and pastries mean each meal served is as fresh as the last.

General manager Jeff Wuerstl says he relies on the skills of executive chef Jason Jones to keep the food at the St. Louis location consistent with the level of quality customers around the country have come to expect of a Maggiano's restaurant.

Folks who can't get out to the restaurant or prefer to eat at home can take advantage of online ordering for pickup or delivery within 10 miles of the restaurant. Maggiano's is also known to cater events as small as eight diners, all the way up to 500.

“We've done everything from company parties to bar mitzvahs,” Wuerstl says. Maggiano's provides all the supplies necessary to enjoy the feast, from eco-friendly utensils and plates to steno food warmers to red-and-white-checked tablecloths that look just like the ones inside the restaurant.

Consistent, delicious and authentic Italian fare, ambiance and great service have made Maggiano's popular and garnered it positive ratings in Zagat and OpenTable polls.

But there's one success at the St. Louis location Wuerstl can't quite explain: Murder Mystery Dinner. “Some other locations do it, but St. Louis for some reason has had more success with it,” he says of the once- or twice-monthly Saturday events. “I was a little apprehensive about it at first, to be honest. It's something that was popular (in entertaining) way back but sort of fell to the wayside, but we decided to give it a try. The St. Louis community has really responded to it.”

Those interested in participating can sign up for email alerts through Maggiano's website or via fishbowl.com, or sign up at the restaurant.
